Founded in 1928, Potain began as a specialized metalwork workshop. Over nearly a century, we have grown into one of the most recognized tower crane brands in the global construction industry. Today, our 4,500+ employees operate across 350,000 m² of manufacturing facilities, delivering 3,200+ cranes per year to contractors in 85 countries.
Our engineering philosophy centers on one principle: a crane that is not lifting is costing the contractor money. Every design decision — from the load moment limiter algorithm to the hoist rope guide — is optimized for maximum uptime and minimum maintenance intervention.
